Our house – centrally located in Grünstadt yet in a pleasantly quiet location.
An attractive pedestrian zone, the weekly market and the train station are less than 200 metres away. The restaurant scene is currently flourishing, and we can recommend a variety of bars, bistros and restaurants within walking distance. The park on the hills above Grünstadt is ideal for walks.
Grünstadt is located on the edge of the Palatinate Forest at the intersection of the German Wine Route and the A6 Mannheim-Saarbrücken motorway, making it the ideal starting point for exploring the ‘German Tuscany’. From here, you can discover the Palatinate and its hospitality on hikes, bike tours or by car – forests, wine and castles in a varied landscape with a mild climate.
The German Wine Route begins at the wine gate in the neighbouring village of Bockenheim, also known for its magnificent almond blossoms in spring. A multitude of excellent to outstanding wineries and restaurants, ranging from typical regional to haute cuisine, invite you to enjoy yourself. Legendary picturesque villages line the wine route:

The Nibelungen city of • Worms with its cathedral and Romanesque architecture, Jewish history, Luther and the Reformation, offers cultural experiences just a few minutes' drive from Grünstadt. • Mannheim is also less than half an hour away, and • is 40 minutes away.
There are four important castle ruins in the Leiningerland region around
Grünstadt that are directly linked to the history of the Counts of Leiningen:
Altleiningen Castle – the ancestral castle of the Counts of Leiningen, now used as a youth hostel.
Neuleiningen Castle – well-preserved castle ruins with a marvellous view over the Rhine plain.
Battenberg Castle (also known as Neuscharfeneck-Battenberg Castle) – in the village of the same name.
Hardenburg Castle (near Bad Dürkheim) – not always directly part of Leiningerland, but at times owned by the Leiningen family.
